Waterhole Update

This afternoon was one of those afternoons which should makes the decision whether to go on drive  or stay at the lodge and watch the waterhole.

Here is the short version of the sightings at the waterhole from around 15h30 onwards:

• Two lions (Motusi make and female) come and drink at the waterhole.
• Zebras try and drink a number of times.  Smell lions.  No luck.
• Small herd of elephants come to drink.
• Single male ellie drinks at pool.
• Zebra take a chance and drink.
• Herd of over 30 ellies arrive.
• Ellies chase lions away.
• Limping buffalo approaches waterhole.
• Lions chase buffalo.
• Buffalo chases elephant.
• Elephant drink.
• Elephant chases lions.
• Beautiful sunset!

Gotta love the Nkurru waterhole!
